In Memoriam
John Vandenberg passed away last month at his home in San
Francisco, from an apparent heart attack. John was
sixty-seven years old. He was born in the Netherlands and
grew up in Australia. In 1956 he moved to San Francisco. He
joined the U.S. Army and served two tours in Vietnam. After
his active duty period he joined the Air Force Reserve, from
which he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
John was to have taken office as Secretary of the SFCWRT
this year. His warm personality will be sadly missed.
